DotCom asked: My grandfather had his home paid off and was “talked” into getting money out of his home in a re-fi. He did this about 2 years ago and got more money out like a year ago. He was given an option payment with an adjustable rate. No one else in the family (his children) were not asked or notified about this. My question is does he have a case. He will be losing his house probably in 6 – 8 months. He is an 85 year old man and he lives on Social Security less than $2000 a month. Any help and/or information to get help would be great.
Any lawyers out there will to help out email me joe@southbayideas.com
Thanks

Lending Tree is one example. Which sites have you gone to in order to be contacted by a mortgage company?
I am not looking for a loan. That was not my question. I am getting an idea of what the most popular mortgage search sites are.

I am a mortgage broker who recently signed up with Lending Tree to buy leads, but I can’t get an account rep on the phone to tell me what they cost. I know the price varies by age of the lead and a few other things. Can anyone help??? Thanks in advance.

XxKimmyxX asked:
I am specifically looking for a site where it explains and goes into detail about the 1003 form [application form for a mortgage] and how to fill it out and what the things mean on there. I also would like more information about what’s in a loan package and how you put it together. I tried to google the things I was looking for, but I couldn’t find what I needed. So if any people who work in this industry or someone else who knows a lot about lending could help me out, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

I am a processor for a mortgage company and just passed my test to get my license for actually writing loans. I am trying to get a little more educated before I’m on my own. Every website I find is tips for buyers or offers courses for $175 a class. I just want some basic information on lending principles and proceudres.

CJKatl asked: If you had a chance to tell mortgage brokers, originators, lenders, and other professionals what you consider unethical, what would you tell them?
I am preparing a class on Ethics that will be offered to mortgage professionals throughout the country, and would like some additional input. We have the framework of the class, but I’d like to hear what ideas customers and other lending professionals might have that could be included.
Is there anything you want them to be sure to hear and discuss? Any specific examples of ethical or unethical behavior? Anything else you think should be covered?
